Like most people, I try to stay active in my daily life, especially as a father of two energetic kids. My typical day involves lots of running around, getting the kids ready for daycare in the morning, and going through the bedtime routine at night, which can sometimes feel like a workout. But let's face it, I probably don't meet the recommended exercise goals each week, so I'm always on the lookout for ways to stay mentally and physically fit beyond work and family.

In my professional line of work, I often come across patients in a similar boat. They're doing their best to stay active in whatever time they have outside their daily routines but struggle due to injuries or pain. We all know that maintaining a moderate level of physical activity throughout life is crucial for our health and keeping our minds sharp. But it's tough when you're dealing with injuries or foot and ankle problems. As a podiatrist, we play a crucial role in helping people recover from lower leg injuries. We have some cutting-edge treatments like Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy and customized orthotics that can get our patients back to doing what they love.

One of the best parts of being a parent is watching your kids grow and become more active. As a young dad and podiatrist, I've developed a passion for pediatric podiatry and sports medicine. My goal is to assist children and athletes in their recovery after an injury so they can stay active and enjoy their activities.

In addition to my specialization in sports medicine and pediatric podiatry, I'm deeply interested in high-risk foot management, particularly in cases related to diabetes and rheumatology. I thrive on the challenge of addressing the most complex cases and aim to achieve results that others might find challenging. I believe there's always more than one solution to a problem; sometimes, we just need to think outside the box.

Apart from my work at Care Podiatry, I am also the clinical lead of the podiatry service at CMDHB division of Diabetes, Renal Medicine & Rheumatology, and serve as an appointed member of the Podiatrists Board of New Zealand.

I'm looking forward to helping you get back on your feet!
