Ken's journey began in South Korea, but he embarked on a new chapter as a child when he immigrated to New Zealand in pursuit of his education. Growing up in Auckland, he earned his Bachelor of Health Science degree (Podiatry) from Auckland University of Technology in 2013. Beyond his professional pursuits, Ken finds solace and enjoyment in playing 10-pin bowling and soccer.

His profound passion for podiatry ignited during his initial role, where he worked with high-risk feet in the Waikato region. Serving as one of the few podiatrists in the area, Ken gained extensive experience in delivering top-tier podiatry treatments within a private setting and specializing in the care of high-risk diabetic feet. The daily encounters with novel and complex challenges, the continuous acquisition of knowledge regarding diverse conditions, and witnessing personal growth all propelled him forward on his journey to becoming a seasoned podiatrist.

In 2016, Ken joined Care Podiatry, facing yet another challenge: the vision of providing the pinnacle of podiatry care. Within the realm of podiatry, Ken's unwavering focus has gravitated toward diabetic foot care. He dedicated the earlier stages of his career to treating ulcers in diabetic feet and offering palliative care in multiple geriatric units. Ken's role as a primary healthcare provider played a pivotal role in preventing numerous diabetics from developing debilitating foot complications, such as ulcers, foot infections, and amputations, by delivering exceptional and comprehensive service.

Ken's patients often describe him as "gentle and thorough." Since his affiliation with Care Podiatry, Ken has been actively engaged in raising awareness within the community about diabetic foot care. His passion and commitment to preventing foot ulcers and amputations have driven him to specialize in the field of High-Risk Foot and Ulcer Management.

In addition to his expertise in high-risk foot care, Ken possesses extensive experience in managing foot and ankle injuries. As a soccer player himself, he intimately understands the profound impact lower limb injuries can have on athletes. Ken has also been involved with local Korean golf groups and has had the privilege of assisting numerous youth soccer players. He has successfully treated a multitude of lower limb injuries by offering tailored footwear advice and prescribing orthotics to alleviate symptoms and enhance performance.

Ken firmly believes that "our feet are one of the most crucial parts of our body, bearing the weight of our entire being. Without our feet, there are countless achievements we would be unable to reach, underscoring the significance of our role as podiatrists."

Presently, Ken provides private consultations at the Papatoetoe clinic while dedicating a portion of his time as an Advanced Clinician at CMDHB Renal Medicine, specializing in the management of high-risk feet and active ulcers.

With a wealth of experience, Ken stands as one of the most seasoned podiatrists in South Auckland. You can place your trust in his care, assured that you will receive the utmost in podiatric excellence from Ken.
